I’ve tried to come up with a better word than “diet” … no one I know likes this word, especially me! I mean, it has the word ‘die’ in it…how good is that? And if you’re not eating right, the doc sends you to a nutritionist — and that word starts with ‘nut.’ LOL So, what gives here? Everyone one of them I’ve seen was over weight and they wanted me to eat more calories than I was — oh man! So, I gained even more weight. Now I really had my work cut out for me!
I paid attention to what my body was telling me…what it needed! This was no easy chore. I ate when it was hungry. I ate more natural fresh foods. I ate smaller meals. I ate more frequently. I really started to listen. I soon realized when I craved a specific food, there was something I needed — so, once I had a few bites, the craving vanished. Within a few months, I lost 40 pounds. Amazing. No diet fads. Didn’t count calories. And no bending over backward exercises. Just listening!
So, I refined a new “diet” for all that would listen. Eat only fresh foods, no processed foods. Eliminate animal fats as much as possible! I know that’s hard to do, but try!! When you shop at the grocery store — look at how they layout the store, everything in the middle is in cans and boxes that have expiration dates that will last a life time, only use those if you have to. But eat what you crave and never starve yourself.
